Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) and Chris Watson (born in Paris). When she moved to Oxfordshire around the age of five, Emma attended the Dragon School. Emma was inspired to become an actor at age six. The film was praised by critics who praised the film and particularly those who were young. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British publication, described Emma's performances "amazing". Then Emma was shortlisted for five awards for her role in the film and was awarded the Young Artist Award for Leading Young Actress in an feature Film.
