Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig November 21, 1983) is an American actress who is best recognized for her performances in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television show Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. After her parents' divorce the actress left Worthington, Ohio to live in Los Angeles. In 2001, despite her finances it was possible get her first significant part in the web-based video show Rachel's Room playing the main character. After earning an Young Artist Award in 2002 due to her role of Murder on the streets of Greenwich of a 15-year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to be awarded. Grace returned to Shannon's character in Lost for two episodes. This included the final episode of the series. The year 2013 saw Grace appear in the episode Californianation of the 6th Season. Gyllenhaal is a part of the family and is the elder sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. In her teens, she began to work in small roles for her father. She also appeared in Donnie Darko along with her twin brother. Her next appearance was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received critical praise for her lead performances in Secretary (2002 the erotic romance drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606), both that earned their Golden Globe Award nods. Following several commercially-successful films, including World Trade Center in 2006 her fame grew in the role of Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). She was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her role as Rachel Dawes in Crazy Heart, (2009). The roles she played in subsequent films include Nanny McPhee as well as the Big Bang and Hysteria.
